Our certified instructors follow American Red Cross guidelines for the courses for licensed healthcare professionals and the community/non-licensed healthcare professionals. By learning these life-saving skills, you will increase your knowledge and comfort should a crisis occur at work, at home, or in the community.
Class for Licensed Healthcare Professionals
This class is only for EMTs, RNs, LPNs, and other licensed healthcare professionals.
Whether taking this class for the first time or the two-year renewal requirement, this class satisfies license or education requirements for all healthcare programs requiring CPR and AED certification, including all healthcare education programs at any college or university. This curriculum includes the most current American Red Cross guidelines and meets the requirements for healthcare providers. The class is 4.5 hours with video presentation, practical application, written exam, and skills tests.
Healthcare workers and trained first responders are eligible to take this course. The goal of this course is to train participants how to save lives with CPR, performing it individually or as part of a team. Skill and rescue techniques cover adults, children, and infants and are applicable to any healthcare setting. Our CPR and AED training uses adult and infant manikins.
Class for the Community and Non-Licensed Healthcare Professionals
This class is only for the general public and NON-licensed healthcare professionals such as CNAs, resident care assistant, and recreation, dietary, and maintenance staff.
Whether taking this class for the first time or the two-year renewal requirement, community members who complete this training will be certified by the American Red Cross® as a First Aid & CPR/AED Provider. This class will satisfy requirements for non-health care programs, including licenses requiring CPR and AED training. We will email you a link to print your American Red Cross certification card after successfully completing the class. This class will not fulfill requirements for healthcare education programs at all Wisconsin colleges, universities, and technical colleges or the CPR training required by hospitals and nursing programs.
During this class, you will learn to perform CPR, administer an automated external defibrillator (AED), and relieve choking in adults, children, and infants. You will also learn how to work through medical emergencies, injury management, and environmental emergencies. The class is 4.5 hours with video presentation, lecture, practical application, and skills tests.
